About The Acafellas (and AcaBellas)
The Acafellas are a Mendocino, California hometown group, all with day-jobs: doctors, lawyers, contractors, architects, innkeepers, designers, and so forth. We came together singing in a larger mixed chorus, then moved to arrangements for men’s voices.
Originally, we sang classical, seasonal and traditional folk music, then branched into gospel, standards and jazz, with a taste of rock, some doo wop and a touch of R&B. We have been seen and heard regularly at local fundraisers, private parties and the occasional barnburner. We sing as sweetly as we can, and we’re almost always asked back.
